Drywall Finisher
You will tape, coat and sand joints to the specified finish level, including full Level 5 skim coats where the lighting demands it. This is the trade the whole job gets judged on — if it holds up under raking light, you are the reason.
What you will do
Tape, coat and sand joints, corners and fastener heads to specification
Work to GA-214 Levels 1 to 5 as the job requires
Apply full-surface skim coats for critical and glancing light
Run corner bead straight and true on external corners
Walk completed areas under raking light and correct anything that shows
Close out deficiency and punch list work
What we are looking for
Proven finishing experience — hand and ideally machine taping
Able to produce a consistent Level 5 finish
Own finishing tools and reliable transport to sites across HRM
Comfortable working from stilts and scaffold
Legally entitled to work in Canada
Nice to have
Experience with automatic taping tools
WHMIS certification
Fall Protection ticket
